Biology-Cellular Molecular sciences. MSc.
During my education in the cellular and molecular biology field, I studied neuronal differentiation, the brain tumor microenvironment, and the signaling pathways involved in neural differentiation and tumor survival. I also established an ex vivo model to study the brain tumor microenvironment and investigated specific cell death inducers that contribute to the selective induction of cell death affecting cancer progression and metastasis. My current research focuses on discovering novel brain-specific lysosomal proteins and defining their function in neuronal diseases. My long-term goal is to become a pioneer in the study of neurodegenerative diseases.
